Nectar[]

While not technically a Relic, Nectar is a fixed useable that is the equivalent of flasks, estus, or heals in souls-games. Nectar heals a fixed amount of HP.

Relics[]

Relics are abilities that can provide useful buffs (and debuffs), deal damage or call summons, typically for a limited duration - although some relics have effects that are permanent for the course of the run (e.g. Dune Shroud).

Each class has a default starter relic that the player begins the run with. On defeating a boss in the run, the boss will drop a random relic that the player can switch their relic for. Upon leaving the boss arena, the player will have no way to return to their old relic and will have to retain the new relic unless they encounter an interactable that allows them to switch their relic again (for example, the Serpent Shop).
