Garden NPCs

In Serpents Gaze, there are a variety of NPCs. I will reference The "Garden NPCs" as NPCs which reside in your Garden between runs, who you can interact with to change class, progress story, etc. They are as follows:

The Druid[]

How beautiful you are! Magnolia's life force runs through you, I sense it

The Druid

The Druid is last of her kind, who were hunted and buried some time ago. She tends the Garden that you respawn in, and is a follower of Magnolia. She keeps the Garden green, for when the green will return to the land.

The Druid is where you are able to change your Classes, Relics, & Weapons, with the base set already being unlocked the first time you talk to her. She will provide exposition on the way you respawn, aswell as the reasoning as to why enemies respawn when you reload area.

Mujica[]

Mujica, The Cursed

Mujica, The Cursed

Hello! Friend!

Mujica

Mujica, the cursed, is an immortal man cursed by the very gods. He seeks to find peace, hoping to find a weapon that might end his suffering, and tasks you with finding these mythological boss weapons to then test against him.

Mujica is mainly a story NPC, and his quest is not super complicated. That being said, you will need to go through quite the roster of bosses to be able to fulfill his requests.

The Blacksmith[]

The Blacksmith is an entity who will assist you both during and out of runs. He is the primary way you can upgrade your weapon during runs with his Blacksmith Anvil, and out of runs, he will appear opposite of the Druid & Mujica, atop a display of weapons that you have unlocked so far.

Approaching the weapon display underneath him will allow you to see all unlocked weapons, while also providing hints to the shaded, locked weapons that you can still collect.

Interacting with The Blacksmith will allow you to offer up "pieces of shadows", acquired through completing a run with any associated curse. Additionally, he allows the player to change their class & weapon, in the same way the Druid does, but additionally allows the player to select their calling.

New callings can be acquired by finding them through runs in Post-Boss interactions, or offering various "pieces of shadows" to The Blacksmith between runs.
