Bosses

Bosses[]

Serpents Fang has (as far as I know), 8 main bosses, with 4 for each "level" of the 2 distinct map environments of The Majin Lands & The Domain Of The Attar'Esh. These bosses are fixed at the end of each level, and will always be preceded by a sand "wall" & a Purchasable Nectar Table. Defeating bosses will always drop a relic, aswell as a seed selection choice.

Majin Lands[]

1. Great Sister Vali[]

Serpents Gaze Visual

Great Sister Vali is the first real boss that you will come across in your runs, typically right after the tutorial in the Jirahka Ruins. She is covered in armor, while Rot seems to be overtaking her body. She is a 2 phase boss fight, with the first phase being a slow, clunky fight where she swings her signature Cinderblade, wearing armor and taking reduced physical & fatigue damage. (Based on observation).

As the fight progresses, she will drop her armor in exchange for faster movesets and combos, while the arena closes in from flames on the floor, which can deal damage to you. Upon bringing her health to 0 for the first time, she will drop her remaining armor, becoming completely unarmored and having fast. rushing combos that can roll-catch you. She will however, now take increased physical & fatigue damage. (Based on observation)

Upon defeat, you will unlock Vali's Signature Cinderblade to equip once you are back in the Garden. This weapon is necessary for a part of Mujica's Questline

2. Gatekeeper Batoush[]

Serpents Gaze Visual

Gatekeeper Batoush is the second boss of the Majin Lands found at the end of The Great Divide. He is a goat-themed Gatekeeper of Namah, clad in gold armor, and uses his signature Gatekeeper's Warhammer. His fight consists of only 1 phase, however, he is a very aggressive and unrelenting boss.

Batoush's fight starts off with him swinging his hammer down at you, wildly at first. As the fight progresses, he will become more accurate with his hammer hits, until he eventually begins to start spewing flames around where his hammer lands. It is important to note that as of 6/1/26, you CANNOT jump over the flames, and must dodge roll or evade them entirely. Batoush can also do a ramming attack, in which he will charge at you & bounce off the walls, and can instantly kill you if you are unfortunate enough to be stuck in a corner.

Defeating Batoush will unlock his Gatekeeper's Warhammer, an extremely high scaling Strength weapon. This weapon is necessary for a part of Mujica's Questline

3. Muhaa The Dunewalker[]

Serpents Gaze Visual

Muhaa the Dunewalker is the third boss of the Majin Lands found at the end of Namah, City of Pilgrims. They(?) are a headless amalgamation of flesh, and will spew fireball at incoming enemies, which he will do at the start of his fight, before switching into melee mode.

Muhaa, despite their size, is very fast, and can land very rapid and wide combos on you and allies. Periodically, Muhaa will spew flames around themselves when surrounded, or stomp on the floor and create flames which last for a few seconds. Additionally, they can ground pound, causing a tremor that can knock you down.

Upon defeat, Muhaa will unlock absolutely nothing. RIP.

4. Rezaa, Dream Custodian[]

Serpents Gaze Visual

Rezaa, Dream Custodian, is the fourth and final boss of the Majin Lands found at the end of Temple Of Metamorphosis. They are a challenging lightning based boss fight, capable of group AOE damage, roll-catching, and summoning elite enemies to assist in the fight against you.

Rezaa will begin the fight by burrowing through the sand, before rushing out to attack. This first phase is simple enough, and upon reaching ~66% health, he will burrow before emerging and becoming invulnerable temporarily while he channels and summons minions. He can summon up to 2 elite enemies during this, and they will fight you alongside him. He will do this once again upon reaching ~33% health, as well as amping many of his attacks to fire off Lightning AOE chains.

Upon defeat, Rezaa will unlock the Class, Aspect Of The Feeble for selection at The Druid.

Domain Of Attar'Esh[]

1. Leirra, The Golden Rose[]

Serpents Gaze Visual

Leirra, The Golden Rose, is the first Boss found in the Domain Of Attar'Esh, in The Streets Of Min'Esh. She is an extremely fast and aggressive boss, capable of blinking, teleport, and leaping across the arena. Clad in what seems to be Attar'Esh fencing gear, she wields her Signature Rapier in her one hand.

Many of her attacks, thankfully, can be dodge despite not seeing them on screen by listening to audio cues and counting to 1 in your head, then dodging. She is also vulnerable to being kited easily, as, when she locks onto one person, she will not react to anyone charging a skill next to her.

Upon defeat, Leirra will unlock her Signature Rapier for use, the highest scaling weapon in the game, with an S+ in Dexterity. This weapon is necessary for a part of Mujica's Questline

2. Amalgamation Of Severed Arms[]

Serpents Gaze Visual

Malvo, Amalgamation of Severed Arms, is the second Boss found in the Domain Of Attar'Esh, in The Sanguine Cathedral. He is a crab-like enemy, with many weapons piercing his shell.

Malvo's attacks can be easily identified based on the weapon he is wielding and his stance. He can use his spear to rain sanguine spears in your area, circular slash with his sword, or stomp onto you by rolling over. Twice during Malvo's fight, he will sink and disappear into the blood pool in the center of the arena, while many small hand enemies spawn in from the sides of the arena. Some form of waveclear is needed to make this fight not overwhelming, as the minor enemies can stunlock you and lead to an instant death.

Upon defeat, Malvo will unlock one of the swords impaled on his head, Malvo's Toothpick. for use.

3. The Typhlotic Twins[]

Serpents Gaze Visual

The Typhlotic Twins, Mandor'Esh & Valdor'Esh, are the third "set of Bosses" found in the Domain Of Attar'Esh, in The Grand Library. They are a pair of knights, one clad in Black & White armor, and the other in Black and Gold.

The one with the white mask utilizes many forms of Sanguine magic throughout the fight, and will assist his brother during the fight. The one in the gold mask will rush forward and be a close range fighter, utilizing his axe that deals significant physical and fatigue damage.

While the attacks are nothing too special, besides a few roll catches, one twin will become enraged upon the defeat of the other, vastly powering themself up and become more aggressive.

Upon defeat, The Typhlotic Twins will drop their weapons as one weapon, The Tyhphlotic Pair. This is the single most varied scaling weapon, scaling with intelligence, faith, and strength. This weapon is necessary for a part of Mujica's Questline

4. The Redeemer[]

Serpents Gaze Visual

The Redeemer is the final Boss found in the Domain Of Attar'Esh, in Justicia, Holy Court. She is by far the most difficult boss in the game, capable of spawning troublesome elite enemies during combat and using a variety of Sanguine spells, roll catch combos, and can become temporarily invulnerable while charging attacks.

She will summon blood spears which will rapidly drop around you if you are not close by, and use rapid roll catch combos involving a sanguine sword, spear, and legs if you are close. Upon reaching ~75% HP, she will summon various elite enemies (THESE THINGS ARE HORRIBLE NGL), while returning to attack you alongside them. Many of her abilities are roll catches, so keep in mind that you need to create distance while also being able to poke between her attacks,

Upon defeat, she drops (???)
